July was a very exciting month over here at Familiar Dolls (and yes, I’m just now blogging about it in September)! I had a WONDERFUL first gallery show at Golden Belt Arts of my paper-mache artwork! Thank you so very much to my friends at Haha Bonbon, Paige Boy, and Tim Thayer for asking me to participate and having an amazing show with me! We had an incredible turnout – it was quite packed for all 3 hours! – and I sold most of my pieces. I mostly forgot to take pictures, but that’s because I was having fun. 🙂 It was very wonderful to see so many of my friends and fans there. Some folks came as far away as South Carolina, coastal NC, and Greensboro! Thank you to each and every person who came out to see me and support me. I wouldn’t be there without you and I appreciate and love you all so much!
The show is now over physically but the show must go on metaphorically so my online shop at FamiliarDolls.com is now back up and running! There are a few pieces leftover from the show that are now available for purchase online and I’ll be adding more stuff eventually. Right now I’m working on some brand new items for the fall selection at the Scrap Exchange as well as some custom pieces.
Thank you again to everyone who came out to the show, wished me luck, bought a piece, asked how it went, and/or complimented my plaid dress. I had the best time and your support means the world to me!
